Time signatures

Having difficulty adding time signatures to piece of music. I want to add 2/4 time at end of 'Priest' line and again at start of the 'Amen' I have tried clicking in space and going to Pallettes and clicking and double clicking on 2/4 and dragging to the score but nothing happens.

You disabled "Show time signature" in staff properties.

And you're making the same mistake with regards to the unmeasures parts time and time again, using symbols rather than notes and Expression text rather than Lyrics (see https://musescore.org/en/node/359519)
