How do I put this into musescore

Anytime I try to copy what Is on the sheet music to musescore it goes wrong, specifically with the triple feature forcing me to use 16th notes, attached is the original sheet music, and two images showing the problem I had with it forcing me to use 16th notes

For the first measure, select a quarter rest and then the tuplet icon from the tool bar. then triplet. fill in the notes.
