Custom Template in MS4

Hi all, I'm using MS4 I have created a flexiband score and then wanted to save it as a template. I deleted all but the 1st bar and then saved this in the templates folder. When I come to create a new score using this template it does so except that it applies 20 vertical frames. Any ideas
