I updated the sounds and now everything is in the wrong octave
I added the cool new sounds. Now I wish I had left it alone as the brass trombone sounds two octaves too high.

Can you attach a score (*.mscz) in which it happens?
That also sounds like it could be an issue with your audio device sample rate - check that it isn't turned up super high. MuseScore works best with 44.1 kHz, or in some cases 48.
