Well, tell us how, in case someone else wants to do it in future.

Click in first measure.
Shift-click in last measure. You should see a range.
Right-click on any barline in the range.
Select --> Similar in this range.
Click Properties.
Click Appearance.
Pick a color.
This is so kewl. I love MuseScore.
