Update: I found that the problem is musesound; by turning them off, the program works fine. Anyway, how to fix it?
Make sure that you are using the latest versions of Musescore and Muse Sounds. Could you attach the affected score here?

Thank you for answering, unfortunately the issue affects every score using Muse Sounds. I updated the version of both MuseHub and Musescore, but it did not solve the problem

Yes, it closes even with one instrument only, using Musesound. Until yesterday everything used to work just fine. It doesn't crash when selecting/adding rests, just notes.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2, build 19045.4291.

This might be the issue you are experiencing, provided you are using the beta version of Muse Hub. See the workaround listed there.

It worked! Thank you for answering so quickly and accurately! 😀
For anyone having the same issue in the future:
turn off Preferences > Note input > Play notes when editing

Great! Looking at the Github issue, it seems like the developers have solved it by now. Muse Sampler should update to its new, fixed version automatically while Muse Hub is running.
