Musescore 4.3.1 Stops playing after repeat right repeat
Hello;
I've attached a musescore 4.3.1 file and it encounters the following issue after it reaches the right repeat sign in M26 (last measure). Play continues at M1 through M6, but stops playing at M7 first ending.
-
I'm I doing something wrong?
-
Does the right repeat sign in M26 require a matching left repeat sign?
I am running musescore 4.3.1 for MAC OS Sonoma 14.5
Thanks for any help.

It's doing what you told it to do, i.e. play the bit under the 1st Volta on the first pass, then repeat then play from the 2nd Volta onward, then jump back to the beginning and then what? - it won't play the 1st Volta (because that's first time only) and it won't play from the 2nd Volta (because that's second time only) - so it stops.
Depending upon what you want, if you change the repeat list of the 2nd Volta to 2,3 it'll play through again or you could use a DC al Fine or DC al Coda (which is more common than a second repeat).

Hello Underquark;
What do you mean by this statement?
"if you change the repeat list of the 2nd Volta to 2,3", what do you mean by 2,3?
thanks

In the measure he's talking about, click the Volta. Then open the Properties tab at upper left. Under Volta / Style, the first item is the Repeat list.
This entry defines which times through this Volta will play. It does not identify the text that will appear: that's under Volta / Text.
