Spitfire/VST Playback Export Problem

• Jun 6, 2024 - 16:51

Hello,

I have begun using Spitfire LABS for playback in Musescore, and it sounds great in the program. However, whenever I go to export the audio file, the software renders it completely differently and it sounds terrible (file: https://audiomack.com/s-first/song/weird-exported-audio?key=weirdmusesc… ). I recorded my computer audio to show what it sounds like in the app (file: https://audiomack.com/s-first/song/musescore-good-audio?key=musescorego… ). I am not sure why the difference between in-app playback and export is so huge, and if there is any fix.

Also, most of the time, the LABS plugin doesn't load at all in Musescore, but I am assuming that is a Spitfire problem so I will be contacting them about that.

Thanks!

I have Spitfire. In your score I tried removing the Ped marks. The score rendered worse. Then I added a Ped mark over all four measures and it rendered OK. I suspect that there are settings within BBC that need to be delt with. I gave up on spitfire partly because of this and partly because the sounds weren't that good to me.

Did you ever hear back/fix it? I also have this problem with Spitfire, no idea why the export sounds so terrible in comparison to the playback.
