Scores Unable to Open

I was working on two different scores and had saved them to my desktop. When I tried to open them again in the MuseScore desktop app, they wouldn't open. I don't understand how that is possible, but when I try to open them, I am met with, "Cannot read file" "This file does not exist or cannot be accessed at the moment." even though it is the exact file I saved from MuseScore just last week.

(When I tried to attach the score file, I again was given an error that said "file not found, check the file name and try again" which doesn't make any sense because the file is obviously still on my computer, or else it wouldn't show up in my documents, please help)
