Sound is broken. I just downloaded the software and its on default settings
I downloaded the latest version of musescore 4, and when i tried to place a note it sounded super screechy and high pitched. It made no difference what insturment, what volume, whatever. I tried musescore 3, and it worked great. I exported a sheet straight from 3, reinstalled 4 and made sure everything was defualt, and still notes were high pitched and screechy and the same thing happened when opening the sheet that worked just fine in 4. It wont let me upload the video and im not sure if im allowed to send links on this page but it just sounds super screechy and distorted and high pitched

i dont think its the file itself. it sounds right on musecore3, but when i hit play in musecore4 it sounds wrong. heres the file though, seems like a playback issue

Plays fine in my 4.3.2.
There may be some audio device settings that need to be addressed. For starters, in the tool bar, go to Edit>Preferences>I/O and set the Buffer to 4096. Also try leaving the mixer open, just as a test. There are other settings, also.

The mixer appears to think there is sound. I assume tried in 3 since you first found out that 4 didn’t work? Could be something on your computer. Or your audio device doesn’t work with MU4.
