mp3 files

This perhaps goes beyond the scope of what this forum is about, but if anyone could help me, I would appreciate it. I wish to create mp3 recordings of my songs by playing them back in MuseScore. What I have been doing to create recordings is playing back the tunes and recording them open air with my digital recorder. However, my digital recorder creates wma files, not mp3. The process also creates extremely low quality recordings going through the sound card of my laptop computer, then through open air, etc. Does anyone know if there is a simple way that a nontechnical guy like me can create mp3 recordings of my MuseScore tunes (and maybe even get better quality results)?
