Can't fix audio clipping [FIXED]

• Jul 15, 2024 - 18:46

There are these annoying clipping noises at the end of measure 20 of my piece https://musescore.com/user/54333837/scores/14046559 . I've tried setting the buffer to a higher value, lowering the master and instrument volume, turning off the reverb effect, using different VSTs/soundfonts as well as MS Basic... but to no avail. The mixer doesn't show clipping (the slider reaching red and a bit of it sticking up at the top), but it still clips on export, so it's not an RAM problem; it's not a device problem either, as how it sounds on my PC with headphones is the same on my phone, with or without headphones. However, the other people I've asked don't seem to hear it.

[EDIT: It's because of the changed velocities made on MS3]

The problem is all the conflicting dynamic markings, I removed them from measure 20 and it plays properly.

You have in almost every measure a p, cresc hairpin, p, dim hairpin, p. MuseScore will either ignore this or make some odd attempt to play it (end of measure 20 fail).
For example, if you have a p followed by a cresc hairpin, the dynamic at the end of the hairpin needs to be louder than p.
Plus you have different dynamics for treble and bass clef in the same measure. MuseScore can't play that either. I'm surprised there aren't more playback problems. You have spent a large amount of time putting all these markings in the score that can't be played well by the program.
So no, it isn't your system. Problems like this are why we need the score.

Hello! Rather than marking scores as "original", I add new compositions to the database; as they aren't Public Domain, only PRO users can download them. I was recently gifted PRO myself, which gives me an additional option to prevent anyone from downloading my scores.
Thanks! And don't apologise; English isn't my first language either ;)
