Missing and random notes in playback and uploaded score
This error is kind of hard to describe.
I have recently installed MuseScore Studio 4 with MuseSounds onto a new Windows PC, which is a little faster than my old PC and with more RAM.
New PC: i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHz + 16GB RAM (Windows 10)
Old PC: i5-3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz + 4GB RAM (Windows 10)
The old PC had dreadful (slows down, crackly, stuttery, garbled) playback, but when I uploaded a score, it played back well on the website.
The new PC seems to playback better - for the first few bars, and then random notes seem to play and voices disappear and reappear. When I uploaded the score, the same errors appear in playback on the website.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled MuseScore Studio and MuseSounds to no avail.
I'm guessing some setting(s) on my new PC must be causing the problems, but I'm at a loss as to what it could be.
Any ideas?

I think It's just lagging. Try waiting a bit before playing the score, so it can load.

I'm not new to Musescore. I've been using it 3 or 4 times a week for several years. (I downloaded MuseScore 4 on my old PC as soon as it was released.) I'm very familiar with lag, and waiting for sounds to load, (and watching the 'loading MuseSounds bar), and playing a score a few times. Unless, of ourse, you're suggesting that I wait several hours or days.
What I don't understand is how these particular errors (random sounds and missing voices) seem to be uploaded to the MuseScore site, whereas my other PC has terrible crackly, laggy playback, but uploads the same score OK.

You would need to ask at musescore.com, which supports the MuseScore site (score hosting), rather than here on musescore.org, which supports the MuseScore Studio application (score creation).

But the problem is originally occurring at score creation level. With my old PC', the playback is awful, but uploads fine. With the faster PC, the playback starts off much better, but the errors begin to occur after a few bars on playback, and the errors are duplicated in the iuploaded score.
It is not logical that this is a musescore.com issue.

My apologies! I had seen the note about musescore.com in your last entry and failed to combine it with your mention of the application in your original post. Didn't read closely enough *blush*
