Use two pianos, one with the treble clef and one with the bass clef.
But this is a workaround. The instrument name has to be adjusted, the brackets have to be enlarged and other things ...
Whoops, that was a misclick lol. Anyway, if I change the instrument to drum kit, it will also change the instrument of the piano part.
I can add an invisible instrument line for the playback, but you cannot put the percussion clef on a piano stave.
Edit: nvm I can make everything invisible, but I can't find a way to make the key signature invisble

Is there a way to make the middle staff only visible in some lines (the lines where there are notes inside it) and invisible for the rest?

Perhaps with "Hide empty staves in systems"? This will make the staves disappear if there is no content in a line.
(What does your mathematical appendix mean in this context?)
