Musescore 4 opens and the file loads but there is no Musescore display on the screen.

When I open a Musescore file, Musescore opens and the file loads but there is no Musescore display on the screen. Windows Task Manager it shows Musescore is running and if I hit the space bar, playback begins.

Thanks, Shoichi.
I worked through the suggestions given at the link you sent. They did not solve the problem.
I have done factory resets several times to no avail.
This is driving me nuts. Especially when I know it is running!
I am not impressed with Musescore 4. All that it has done for me is make what I do harder, if not impossible. I was quite happy with Musescore 2, truth be known.

Thanks, Joj-Schmitz. I wish I had not switched. Even though I now have a large number of scores created or converted to MS4 format and my ensemble has also switched over, I have thought about going back.
I tried to download "earlier versions" on the MS website but could only seem to download a "portable" copy of MS3.
I'll try again.

When I hover the curser over the MU4 icon in the task bar, it shows two little blank screens. One with the MuseScore file name on the top line, one with MuseScore Studio on the topline.
On right click, "Pin to taskbar" is an option. Pinning it makes no difference nor unpinning afterwards.
I restart my computer at least once a day and have had this problem for weeks.
My antivirus software scans daily to remove malware and cookies etc.
I tried to do as many of the things in the your link that I could, given that I have Windows 11. It is quite different. Is this advice available for Window 11?
