A real big problem Lost Files
I have lost A large amount of files since using Musescore 4.
I've searched everywhere but cannot find them.
I really don't want to start a years work all over again.
I need HELP!
Where have they gone?

MuseScore for sure won't have deleted them, it is just lacking the capability to delete files

He , said that Musescire will not allow scores to be delighted. This may be right, as I have glimpsed some of the scores I thought were lost in my searches....but I can't work out where they are located.
This problem seems to have started when my laptop updated from Windows 10...to Windows 11.
I did find some of the scores on a Widows 10 laptop, but the inner workings of Windows 11 seem to be different to Windows 10.
Can anyone help me find the missing scores? Otherwise I'v wasted 12 Months work!

Run a search of your hard drive for one of the titles you are looking for. The result will list the file and where it is located. My guess is that your other files will be in the same location. Right click on the search result>Show more options>Open file location.

Search for *.mscz

Such a Windows update can delete files, or make them inaccessible, did happen with some Microsoft patches that destroyed the local user accounts
