VDL In Musescore 4.4 Plays wrong voicings with articulations

• Aug 30, 2024 - 18:35

Loving the new musescore update but having trouble with VDL Playback. For quads and bass drums, different pitches/voices come across on playback when any articulation or tremolo is used on a note; inhibiting my ability to hear accurate playback on my scores. How can I fix this? I navigated all around the new platform and couldn't find any voice / pitch settings relating to this. Please help!!!

I haven’t bought the pack yet so I can’t help this problem, but I was wondering if you had any trouble purchasing it and if so, how did you work around it? I’ve been trying to buy it and there have been numerous errors.

Hey Jonas!! I actually had no problem at all with this. I simply purchased the VDL extension in musehub; then create a new score in the program. In the score I simply open the mixer and select the audio channel for respective instruments as the VDL sounds from the drop down menu! You’ll see the tap space tab and VDL sounds inside. Hope this helps!
If and when you get this up and running, keep in touch with me if you experience these same articulation issues or how to fix it. Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know! Right now it seems there are some errors on MuseHub's side of things, which you can see here: https://support.musehub.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/21170475056797

I'll just wait until they get it fixed, but I will make sure to let you know if I have those issues when I download VDL. Interesting that you were able to download it, it seems that there are a lot of people that encountered the same error as me.
