Ok so musescore is just broken wtf
I was on it before working on a symphony and I just logged on now and all the palettes are gone and eventually the app just closes

I'm not completely sure if I understand correctly what you mean (a screenshot might have helped), but if it is what I think, then View > Restore the default layout should resolve it. We're actively working on finding out how this can happen seemingly randomly for some users.
May be, if You could describe Your problem closer, we could assist better.
