pickup measure

First time using muscore 4 in a long while. Created a pickup measure on new score. Time signature is 3/4. Pickup measure was selected using 1 beat. When I open the score the measure is 3 beats and I can't seem to delete the extra beats. Handbook says to right-click on the measure and change values, but right-click does nothing.

How do I do this?
