Removing note names from note heads (Staff/Part properties does not work)

Hello, I am trying to remove note names from existing note heads, but I have tried everything and nothing has worked.

What I have tried but did NOT work:
1. Staff/Part properties > Advanced style properties > Notehead scheme: Normal > Ok
2. Create part > same as no. 1
3. Copying and pasting the notes onto a new score
4. ... Notehead scheme: anything besides Normal > Ok > Does not change anything

other info:
- I have tried to input new notes and they come out WITHOUT note names
- Changing the existing notes also changes the note names inside the note heads

- I am using MuseScore version 4.4.2 (latest update as of this writing)
