Style Text and individual text element edits
I would like to universally change some text settings using Format -> style -> text styles. For gradual tempo change, my edits are reflected in the score and parts, but for staff and tempo text, they are not. I believe this may have something to do with whether specific text elements have been edited or not. If this is the case, is there a way to work around it so that my changes in the style settings for elements that have been previously edited are reflected in the score and parts?

hello. most likely, the problem is that you made changes to the text layout using the properties panel. Previously, this panel was called the inspector. changes made in the inspector have a higher priority than changes to style parameters.
Try to undo the previously made changes in the menu - format - reset text styles. after that, you should be able to change the layout of the text by changing the style.
