Scores are just files. Delete them the same way you would delete any other file.

Dear Steve, I would like to delete most of the files I have,
but when I use "Delete" all the notes and rests disappear,
but there are still lots of pages with empty bars.
Can I get rid of them?

Delete the file. Don't open the file, just find it in your file explorer or whatever your OS uses, select it and delete it.
