NIENTE CIRCLE

• Oct 25, 2024 - 17:33

I have MuseScore 4, and would like to be able to find the
"Niente circle" which is a small circle attached to a diminuendo hairpin.
(Used when the note is to fade away to nothing) I have hunted in the
Handbook - but no luck! Jeff

AFAICS the niente circle is only available on the Master Palette. It's in the Symbols section, where you can search for "niente".

Are you really using MuseScore 4 without the Properties panel? 😱It's like having one leg and one arm amputated!
It's all in the View menu, or F8 shortcut. You'll see that it's much simpler to use this option "Niente circle" included in the Properties than to use a symbol which, what's more, will most likely move during layout.

In the handbook, please read this: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/properties-panel

The Properties panel is indispensible when using MuseScore Studio. It shows layout and playback properties of selected objects.
To access it, see:

There were some Property items, but not the one you have shown.

Okay, so you must first select (by clicking on) the hairpin in order to see its properties in the Properties panel -- as shown in @cadiz1's picture.
