I have entered most of a manuscript, but suddenly have no sound when I play it back.

BTW, I'm a newbie to MuseScore
I don't know why your playback doesn't work,
but you are using Musescore 3.3.4
The latest version of Musescore 3 is Musescore 3.6.2
You can download it here https://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/musescore-nightlies/windows/3x/stable/
Also, if you don't want to install Musescore 4, you can try fork Musescore 3.7 Evolution https://sites.google.com/view/musescore-3-evolution/
Edit -> Preferences -> I/O -> Restart audio devices should help.
For example, did you start a DAW or other audio software before "suddenly no sound" occurred?

Or, perhaps, did you unplug your speakers and plug in headphones (or something like that) before "suddenly no sound" occurred?
