Music without a time signature
Thanks to Jeff for a very helpful tutorial which has worked.
Because I am working on psalms they have verses. My next puzzle is how to incorporate the written texts of those verses under the tone? I have tried for a long time to discover how to do this and am wondering if it is possible? If it is, can I copy and past from a word document into MuseScore?

To add lyrics to notes, see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/lyrics#add-lyrics
To copy and paste from a text editor (e.g. Notepad in Windows) see:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/lyrics#copy-different-verse
Note: For step 4 you must do some preparation and have the words broken into syllables because multi-syllabic words are usually not pasted onto a single note (but rather each syllable in a word gets pasted to successive notes).
Dear John,
Thanks for your kind reply.
Yes, putting Lyrics under the notes
is a very common process. Listen to
the following video. The lyrics section
begins at 2.44 secs. You might wish to
watch the whole video. I find it helpful
to make notes of the short cuts
(in a little Red Book) so I can quickly
check anything I have forgotten.
Best wishes, Jeff Video below:

Hi John!
I wish I had seen these posts a little earlier.
Here's a fun tutorial on psalm-tones I created a while ago--it's for v.3, but I think the information is still relevant.
I've been considering assembling a tutorial on chant notation in general, but haven't gotten around to it.
