Crescendo/Diminuendo Bug
Bug where notes above crescendos/diminuendos will extend longer than supposed to, seems to be specifically staccato eighth notes, not sure how to fix and only seemed to happen after downloading a recent update. Tried closing the program and opening it again but didn't work.

Indeed, known regression of the last 4.4.4: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/25831
How to fix it? Switch to Muse Sounds (this problem only occurs with MS Basic)
Also make sure your hairpins are placed between notes that have dynamics. Not including them.
I noticed this in some brass parts I was working on. A unison staccato quarter note was sustaining long after the measure ended after I added a crescendo. I deleted the staccato and it went back to normal (appropriate/written sustain).
Using OS: macOS 15.3, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.4-243461245, revision: 2232670

Normally, the aim is not to remove staccatos to fix a problem :) You just have to be patient, the problem has been solved for 4.5, which will be released in a few days' time.
