Petaluma Script Font missing
Hi
I'm running Linux and I recently updated from 4.3.2 to 4.4.x.
Now I notice that the font "Petaluma Script" is missing since the update. So all my scores look strange because my style .mss points to this font.
I searched the forum/announcements but didn't find any mention of this change.
I tried to use the remaining "Petaluma" font with musejazz, but it doesn't look the same.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to get Petaluma Script back?
Thanks for all your work!

Petaluma Script is still part of the code base, I'm not aware of any changes in that respect
I can however confirm the issue you're having, that score looks fine in 4.3.2 and 3.7, but not in 4.4.0 - 4.4.4 nor the latest development builds (which will become 4.5)
Seems best to report this on GitHub, https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/new/choose
The font is not automatically loaded for some text styles - unlike before. But you can of course reassign the Petaluma font to the individual texts. Temporary solution until it is fixed again ....

It isn't listed in the font selection, so cannot get selected

In my installation it is listed!
OS: Windows 11 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.4-243461245, revision: 2232670

But there is Petaluma and Petaluma Text - as in my installation?
I have assigned the font to the title, but not yet to the subtitle.

Now I realize my mistake: Petaluma Text <> Petaluma Script!
Sorry.

(Workaround) Petaluma Script is available if installed as system font. (on ubuntu lInux)

Thank you all for your responses!
I'm running Manjaro (based on Archlinux). I installed the otf fonts from the musescore repo, but they are not recognized as valid fonts on my system. I also tried converting them to ttf with no luck.
Then I installed the PetalumaScript font, which I downloaded directly from Steinberg (https://github.com/steinbergmedia/petaluma/tree/master/redist/otf). It worked, but it's much smaller and older...
I guess this is a Linux specific problem? If so, should I still file a bug report?

As MuseScore took the Petaluma fonts from Steinberg's repository, those there can't be older, just newer.
Theyx may appare to be older, but that is because MuseScore added them only 5 years ago (and updated 4 years ago), so version-wise we're on par
But yes, please report it

The Petaluma script font does work on Ubuntu, so not a Linux specific problem.
The fonts from Musescore github and Steinberg are identical.

I checked again and: Yes, you are right!
I got a faulty download the first time. They are identical indeed.
