True 3/4 time in measure
I am transcribing sheet music and the first and subsequent measures show 7, 1/8 notes per measure in 3/4 time. How do I correct this since none of the suggestions from AI or what I have tried from the manual work? Is this possibly related to a "+" I see above the last note of the first measure...that I also am unable to remove? I tried unsuccessfully to copy the first 3 measures to paste here...also screen shot. Help please and TYI! :)

We need to see at least a part of what you are trying to transcribe from and also the mscz file that you have created.
The '+' indicates that the measure is too long, i.e. it has more beats than the time signature specifies.
You can change the beats in the measure properties.
I don't know how you created this measure though. Is it a PDF import or did you accidentally use the insert mode when entering the notes?

I am transcribing from sheet music and the problem I describe occured spontaneously from within MS4. If someone can tell me how to provide the music for evaluation I will do so. Save and upload the entire .mscz?

In the .mscx I am working on, there is the small "+" above the first measure, last note, in both parts (lower parts obviously not yet entered).

That's a PDF exported from MuseScore? Do you have an image of the original sheet music (the beginning part where there is discrepancy in the number of notes)?

The first note must be in another measure, like all the others times you have the same piece . The sheet music begins by a measure with only a 1/8 note on the last 1/2 beat of this measure , or , if you want, by an anacrouse of this note.

I'm sure I hit something by accident. I am looking to undo my folly! ;)

Measure properties took care of it....Thanks heaps! :)

The first note in measure 1 is probably too much. You can also select it and remove it with Ctrl+Del. This will also shorten the measure.
