Sib file to .mscz
I have an old Sibelius file that I am trying to convert to a Musescore file. A friend with Sibelius software tried to convert a similar file and I still couldn't open it. I can't upload the file in question. It is a Sibelius file from an arrangement for BBC Ten Pieces. It could be from 2015 or earlier. Any advice?
Thanks

What format did your friend convert the sib file to?

She wasn't able to convert it from .sib to .mscz because it had more 16 staves.

In any case, a Sibelius file can only be opened in Sibelius (encrypted file format).
Maybe the Dolet plugin is needed for the conversion, depending on the Sibelius version.

Scratch that "Maybe". Dolet is needed for Sibelius to create full featured MusicXML files the built-in export is not sufficient for anything but transferring a score from Sibelius version to another

Anyway, If it is indeed before 2015 I might be able to convert it with My 7.5.1 version. In 2015 v8 came out. I can't do anything with that.
