Tremolo between whole notes?

So, most notational conventions use tremolo bars between two whole notes when using them as such, but in MS4, it seems that it treats them as if they still have stems? And because of that, even manually shifting it to be between the notes makes it overlap with one notehead or another? Is there a way to fix this?
