Export to SVG changes size of score elements

When I export a score to SVG in Musescore Studio 4.4, all the score elements are increased in size by a factor of 3.75. For example, my score fits on a single page of A4 (210mm x 297mm). The exported SVG requires a page of 788mm x 1113mm.
Using Inkscape, which is my target application, I can easily reduce the SVG to its original size, but I would naturally prefer the export to preserve the original size.
Is there any reason why MS export would change the size, and is there anything I can do to correct this?
