Enter Note Values From Midi Keyboard

I’m currently using an older version of Musescore (v 2.3) as I transition to newer versions. I’m an older user and prefer to learn the updated versions gradually. I’ve recently connected a Yamaha SY77 to Musescore via a Fast Track Pro interface. I’m able to input notes remotely without a problem. Is there a way to assign note values in step time from the SY77 using the pictured buttons on the synth? Thanks!
