could someone please delete the rests
could someone please be so kind to delete these funny rests in the last bar, bottom staff?
They can be selected but if deleted nothing happens, they do copy to a new measure though.
Also i tried setting a different font for fingering but it seems not to work...

I just deleted that one measure (just the content) and added it afresh

I tried that but the rests stayed if i deleted the bars contents, if i added bars they kept moving to the last bar present.
Any thoughts on the font thingy?

For that you'd need to modify the text style settings I think?

Not sure what you are talking about specifically [EDIT: I see now, fingering], but in general, "Text Properties" appluies only to already existing text. "Text Style" is what controls the overall defaults for all elements of a given type - both existing ones if not customized [ a new 2.0 feature ], and yet-to-be-created ones [ both 1.3 and 2.0 ].

then: if i drag a new fingering number from the palete on the left into the score it is still times new roman 8 (not bold)

True in 1.3 apparently - position info is honored but font/size are not. It works in 2.0 FWIW.
