As described in the link provided above, this is fixed in revision 2740. See the download page of this website for instructions on obtaining version 0.9.6 stable (revision 3145).

Thank you for the help! (and I did read http://www.musescore.org/en/node/3582) but... I do not know how...
I clicked "here to install directly from your browser." in http://musescore.org/en/download
it asks for an aplication which I have no clue about.
Then I tried uninstalling and intalling again with "Ubuntu software center" (that is how I first got this very nice app) but it installed the same version 2613 again.
Also I checked this:

but I do not understand what they are talking about... (and it is about an older version?)

Read the instructions for the "Ubuntu stable backports". No compiling is necessary to use the latest stable version.

After our vacation I tried and I did not manage but fortunately my girlfriend is a heap cleverer than me :D
