Exact spacers
I'm scoring a series of short tunes (a few lines each) which I'm separating with vertical spacers. Is there a way to make all spacers the same size, or set a spacer to an exact length (not just eyeballing)?

You can size anything precisely using the arrow keys rather than the mouse - just count the number of clicks.
You could also consider using a vertical frame instead of spaces, as they start out bigger. Plus it gives you a place for the new title. And if you are doing that, depending on what version are using and how your score is set up, you could perhaps set the upper margin for the frame to get things to work as you might want more or less automatically.

Right-click> Select all similar elements;
Inspector> Increase Height
