Indentation Style for MuseScore Code
In the MuseScore developement handbook, under Coding Rules , is the statement that "For historical reasons, MuseScore uses a special indenting scheme close to the Banner style . Take a closer look of the examples above to become familiar with it - particularly, the use of braces."
Just out of curiosity, is there any better reason for this rule, other than "This is just the way it's always been done..."?

From my own perspective, it's nice when code looks consistent. Which style is consistently used matters much less. Banner is as good as any other, I guess. Aside from being a lot of unnecessary work, changing it would presumably mess up the history in git.
