Sonatina symphonic orchestra woodwinds don't play notes above staff
Has anyone else experienced a problem with the wind sounds not playing (specifically for me, Flute and English Horn), when the notes are above the staff (A5 and up)?
If so, have any of you found a fix for this?
The SSO soundfont is excellent in so many ways and I would not like to have to abandon it if possible.
I appreciate the help from the community. Thank you.

The Flute, Picc, and English Horn are mapped incorrectly in Sonatina; they play an octave too high. Just adjust the staff settings (add an octave to the transposition settings) to account for this and write everything down an octave.

great, not a problem! It seems the contrabasson plays 2 octaves lower in Fluid.I havent seen a comment about this in the 2 years I've been using it.I hope I can get to use 2.o today. Why are the Violins 1 only a single instrument?

Which "violins 1"? Is there a patch by that name in Sonatina? There isn't one in FuildR3, and nothing by that name in the General MIDI standard. There is just "Violin" (singluar) and "Strings". FluidR3 provides both, so you can choose whichever you wish. Not sure about Sonatina.
I'm not sure what you mean.
Violins 1 in Sonatina should have a pizzicato, an arco and a staccato patch.
