Changing style>text properties not reflected on page
In MuseScore 2.0, making changes to the text settings for page numbers or copyright, does not change the way the text shows on the page. I can't change positions or font sizes. I'm running Windows 7 Professional. In MuseScore 1 I could at least manually grab and move the copyright, or right click and change the text properties. In MuseScore 2, I can't do either of these things.

Does it, when closing and opening the score?
I don't quite understand what you mean about changing page or copyright font. There is not independent text style for those any more - it's the Footer text style that is applied to both. Anmd if you change that, it does take effect, immediately. Whereas in 1.3, there were independent styles for page number (odd & even) and copyright, but they *didn't* work except on reload.
As far as I can tell, 2.0 is working exactly as it should. If you have a specific score where it is not, please post that score and precise step by step instructions to reproduce. My guess it it will turn out that the score came from 1.3 and the formatting got "baked in" to the copyright messages, so you'll just need to re-enter it.
Might have inherited that style via import from 1.x?
Thanks! You were right, I was having difficulty with a song created in Musescore 1.3. I think I have it figured out. Although I don't see how to enter a carriage return to create two or more lines for the copyright info.
Thank you.
Currently, you would need to enter the mutli-line copyright directly into the footer - see Style / General / Header, Footer, Numbers. There is an open request to allow multiple line text directly with the copyright box as well - see #19780: Add multi-line text area for copyright in New Score Wizard and File -> Score Properties
Or save as mscx and edti with a normal text editor. Not for the faint hearted...
Man, the copyright thing went from fairly straightforward to very convoluted. In MuseScore 2, to work with the copyright, you jump through the following hoops:
1. Copyright info: File>Info>copyright
2. Placement: Style>General>Headers, Footers, Numbers>Footer Text
3. Formatting: Style>Text>Footer
And I still can't find a way to just show the copyright on the first page only.
In MuseScore 1.3 the copyright text could be selected, moved, formatted, etc. right on the page!
Whethr on to show on 1st page one is done in step 2... See http://musescore.org/en/node/35896#style-edit-general-style-header and use the $C macro rather than $:copyright:
Ah, yes, but how would you do two lines of copyright on the first page only?
Currently, it does seem to work on my system at least to type a multi-line copyirhgt message into a text editor then copy and paste it into the copyright filed (either in the wizard of later in file / info).
But actually providing a multiline field as requested in #19780: Add multi-line text area for copyright in New Score Wizard and File -> Score Properties will be good.
Still, I wouldn't call the currently system "very convoluted". It works quite well for the majority of cases - enter a copyright message into the wizard and it gets displayed. If you want it displayed on the first page only, you edit a single option. That's not really different from how footers are treated in any other program that provides them. And a style option to control the formatting is how it was done in 1.3 as well - it's just a different style now. So while there might be some operations that take one or two extrsa clicks now, there are others that are easier or indeed *possible* now that weren't before.
