How to disable automatically advancing to next beat when entering a note.
Hello, simple problem but I can't find a solution. When I enter a note, musescore 2.0 advances to the next beat, and sometimes that is on a different page or on the bottom of the same page. I like this feature in terms of entering runs or entering notes for single note instruments such as wind instruments. But it gets annoying when I am not done in an area and I want to enter more for the same or another instrument within the same measure. It becomes tedious to relocate where i was every time I finish a measure.
Is there a way to disable this? If there isn't, I think it would be a useful feature to be able to toggle it on or off to meet our needs. Thanks.

As far as I know, there's no way to disable it, but just hit the left arrow key if you advance when you don't want to.
In addition to Zack's helpful tip, you may find Continuous View rather than Page View helpful, as in Continuous View you will not find yourself on the next page.
This is definitely one of the advantages of Continuous View. But FWIW, you shouldn't have to actually do anything to relocate the view. Even if the page scrolls, the note just entered is still selected, so the shortcuts to add a note to that chord or move to the previous or next staff still work the same as always. You could also simply hit the left cursor key to relocate the view; not sure if you trying to do it some other way.
Oh, I didn't know there was a continuous view, lol. Thank you. I've worked with Finale before and this view was called "scroll" view. I'm glad to find out that Musescore has this feature too. Thank you very much, for all the help and suggestions. :)
