Ubuntu 9.10, musescore 0.9.5, problems with play panel
I see the Play panel, but it's inactive, mean "Play" button and "rewind to start position" button don't work. First after install it worked but then musescore hanged and play panel stoped to respond. I tried reinstall, and tried installing 0.9.4 version too, but it didn't help.

Upgrade to version 0.9.5, reset your sound preferences to default. You may need to restart your computer.

Thank You for your reply, but I'm not sure what do you mean by default sound preferences...
( I tried 0.9.5 version before and added mscore PPA to software sources too, but 0.9.5 didn't work good for me because of those visible but inactive buttons from play panel and only then I tried 0.9.4 instead /sorry for my english/ . So I'm not certain if upgrading to 0.9.5 will help)

Version 0.9.4 on Ubuntu has more problems with sound than version 0.9.5 so downgrading certainly won't help.
In the preferences there is a button that says "reset to default".
