problem installing from ppa:mscore-ubuntu/mscore-stable

I tried adding the ppa in the subject line to my repositories, then when I tried to install musescore 2.0 with my Ubuntu 14.04 software installer, it warned me that a long list of other packages would never be updated from the other repositories. This looks like a bug in the installation to me. Has anyone else encountered this?
