HELP
I'm trying to upload this song that took me a while to write that I finally finished, but a message keeps popping up saying there's an error in my music, but I keep looking at it and don't see anything...!
Jar_of_Hearts.mscz
It says the error is measure 42, which is a bunch of whole notes except the melody line in the piano...
If someone could help me out in trying to figure out what's up with it that'd be great! :)

If you put your cursor on the whole note in the alto part then press the right arrow, you'll see in the status bar it says there is a sixteenth rest, even though you can't see the rest. The Inmspector shows it was moved off high above the staff - probably right off the page. But then press Ctrl+R and it appears.
Do you have any idea when/how this might have happened? Was the score created from scratch in 2.0, or was it perhaps started in an earlier version (1.3, or one of the experimental beta or nightly builds), or was it imported via MusicXML or some other format? If it was created from scratch in 2.0, can you remember anything unusual about how you created this measure?
Best recourse will be to completely remove this measure (ctrl+delete), then insert a new one and re-enter the music into it.
BTW, I see this score consistently uses slurs where ties were meant. The result will be that playback will be wrong and also changing one pitch won't change the other. Also it just looks wrong, althought they do admittedly look similar.

Thank you for your help. Apparently, something happened when I re-entered it from 1.3. But it's now fixed! Thank you,

Does anyone know how to add two different instruments eg: cello on bass clef and guitar on treble clef..

It would be better to start a new post.
However welcome. Edit / Instrument is what you are looking for?
In the dialog box, select "All instrument" if necessary.

Also see:

Although this handbook reference shows the instrument window during new score creation, the instrument window can also be accessed (i.e. to add/remove instruments to an existing score) by using menu item: Edit / Instruments.
The keyboard shortcut is the letter I.
Regards.
