note entry not working via MIDI
I'm not getting anything to show up using the note entry via MIDI (Yamaha Motif). I'm running XP64.

yes, I've read that but it does not work. 0.9.6 has nothing in the dropdown menu

Could you attach a screenshot of your Edit > Preferences > I/O tab? Please mention what revision number you are using (To find out, go to Help > About).

Does playback work for you? Do you get any error messages when you start MuseScore?

nope, no errors. playback does not work for me. when I press the button, it just indents and doesn't do anything - no sound, no messages, no moving cursor to the song...

Did you install MuseScore as a 32bits software? In program files (x!§) directory?

yes, whatever this is: http://prereleases.musescore.org/windows/musescore-r3070-0.9.6-RC1.exe
it was installed to c:\Program Files (x86)

Have you tried to Revert to factory settings ?

I tried resetting to default (had to do it more than once and restart) and the different midi options showed up (though they were duplicated before I restarted).
