using rests for better MIDI playback articulation
Hi.
I am wondering if appreciating and implementing rests better would enhance MIDI playback more?
Admittedly it is exciting to hear a score played back on MIDI and also watching the notes unfurl as the highlighter does its thing is immensely educational.
But I was wondering if appreciating the converse of music- silence- more would emphasize timing.
In particular "accents" or "beats" or the "pulse" in many of the scores volunteered here already on the Musescore server.
Anybody have an opinion about this?
Thank you.
Sincerely,
JW Peek
