[SOLVED] Enter rests while inputing tablature?
Hi, can anyone tell me a way to enter rests while I'm inputting tablature?
At the moment I'm having to click on the staff, which enters a note. Then I have to change the note to a rest. Then click on the tab which enters an unwanted note that I then have to delete. It's slowing me down quite a lot.
A way to move the cursor between the staff and tab without entering notes would be good enough.
EDIT: Figured it out. Semicolon ( ; ) does it. Found it in the preferences. Couldnt see it in the documentation though

Press 0 to enter rest
For tab staves, semicolon is the rest shortcut.
I don't quite understand what you mean about moving the cursor between the staff and the tab. Do you mean you have *two* staves - one standard and one tab, perhaps linked? To move the cursor between staves, Alt+Up/Down works in general, but unfortunately not for tab staves specifically.

Thanks for your replies.
I meant switching between inputting tab and inputting standard notation.
To move the cursor from here:
NOT FOUND: 1
to here:
NOT FOUND: 2
Alt + up/down doesn't seem to work
Entering rests with the semi-colon key solved my problem though so it's no big deal.
