Key Signature Problem
I am working on a score that begins in the key of D and shifts in the chorus to the key of C. In an earlier version of Musescore I was able to drag the C key signature from the palette to the measure and the naturals appeared to signal the change in keys, but just now with the 9.5 version nothing happens when I drag from the palette to the measure. What am I doing wrong?

The measure should appear highlighted with a dark tan color before you release the mouse button. If the measure does not appear highlighted then your mouse cursor is not in the correct place.

Thank you for your reply. I have this problem even though the measure is highlighted with the dark tan color before I release the mouse button. I've tried it just dragging the key signature from the palette onto a measure and also just in case I've selected the measure first -- the brown tan color highlighting the measure in both cases, but it doesn't work.

Do you have this problem with every score you try or just one particular score? If the latter then consider attaching a copy of the score to a comment below.

It appears to be just this score. I suspect the problem is that I had to play with the measure widths with the more/less stretch command since the music started moving off the staff into the margin -- instead of continuing on the next line as I wish it would do. I don't know if it did this to accommodate the lyrics I was adding or the number of notes. The width changes probably confused the key signature drag and drop.
Bringing up another question: How do you deal with the music going off the page into the margin? Do you insert extra measures, cut and paste the music to make it fit?

It is difficult to say without seeing it first hand. Could you attach a copy of the score?
