ability to minimize
I think it would be great if when i opened the mixer, playback, etc that I could minimize it.

You don't say what OS you are using (Windows? Mac? Linux?) but I think in most OS's, only top level application windows can be minimzed.

What advantage would you perceive in mimizing the window as opposed just closing it? The whole point of minimizing is that the progrma keeps running while not taking up screen space, but that's already true if you close the window. So I'm not seeing any advantage here - which is why the operation isn't supported that I know by any operating system.

Because if I was gonna use it a lot, could just click on it the button instead of having to open view, & then check it again, of course.

That's what keybaord shortcuts are for :-). Depending on your OS, there might be a way to "roll up" the window to get it out of the way. I'm not familiar with Windows 8.1 so I can't say if it has this.
