Printing
Musescore 2 (plus a couple of updates) closes down when I attempt to print, either on the Musescore print tab or File/print. Any ideas? had same problem with "synthesizer" earlier but that seems resolved.

Using MuseScore 2.0.1? Have you tried reverting to factory settings?

Thanks for your reply. For a start when I press Windows key + R, "C:\ Files etc etc Musescore.exe " comes up with the F already there! When I try that it just opens Musescore 1.3

If so, the problem is the "etc etc" - try entering *exactly* what it says in the 2.0 Handbook.

My etc etc was purely for my reply.... I entered exactly what it said. Thanks for your reply, though.

I mean, whatever is in the there, it must be wrong if it launched 1.3. My guess is you were following the instructions from the 1.3 handbook rather than the 2.0 handbook. What is the text *exactly* in that dialog, and can you verify it against the 2.0 version of the Handbook (https://musescore.org/en/node/35956)?
For 2.0 on Windows it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore\bin\MuseScore.exe
For 1.3, the executable was mscore.exe, as mentioned above. There is no way that running an executable named MuseScore.exe should ever open 1.3.

Actualy "C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore2\bin\MuseScore.exe"
I fixed the handbook just now...

I have uninstalled and re-installed Musescore 2.0.1 (I have Windows Vista)
I was and am using the handbook link you provided.
Windows key = R comes up with:
C:\Users\cadams\AppData\Roaming\Musescore\Musescore2.ini
Browse comes up with: Program files, Musescore and there is a list of folders starting with "bin" and finishing with "uninstall"
If I open bin there are three files: iconengines, imageformats and mscore (not musescore)
I cannot find any with Musescore .exe
Sorry to be a pain but i do need to print! Above all, thanks for your help and forgive my lack of tech detail.

"C:\Program Files\MuseScore2\bin\MuseScore.exe" in Vista and other 32bit Windows

Sorry - an addition to the last: I managed to get un the "Run" box:
"C:\Program Files\MuseScore 2\bin\MuseScore.exe"
I put in space, hyphen,F
Went back into Musescore (2) and tried to print. It shut down.

WHat is your default printer? Can you change that to something else temporarily and see if the problem continues?
As a workaround until we figure out what the problem is, what about if you use File / Export to export as PDF, which you could then print from another program?

I'm grateful for all your trouble. Default printer is HP Laserjet 1022, all I have available at the moment but will see if I can try another. Meanwhile I'll experiment with File/Export.

Sorry - addition to last. Attempt to export also caused Musescore to shut down. Vista the problem??

It's possible. See also https://musescore.org/en/node/58376 and https://musescore.org/en/node/58541. At this point, it seems a very tiny minority of users are seeing a problem, but we still haven't really figured out what the common denominator is.

Have to say I didn't understand it all but Vista seems a common problem. I cannot export to any medium without Musescore shutting down.

can't really be, the exe for MuseScore 1.3 was called mscore.exe
