Musescore 2 won't open
I downloaded the program last night on my windows 8 laptop. But today, when I tried to open it, there would be a loading symbol for a split second and then nothing!! It won't even give me an error screen or message!! i just click on the application and... NOTHING!! Please help!! I tried to revert back to factory settings. The screen shots I posted show how close I came to finding the required files. I don't know anymore. I really would like to get this issue resolved.... Thank you.

I don't quite understand the pictures, but you should just literally type what it says into the run dialog.
Also do a searhc of these forums to see other advice given, such as trying to use the "-w" option, the "-s" option, starting by double clicking a score in Windows Explorer instead of using the program icon, etc.

I just followed everything that the "Revert to Factory Settings" option told me to do. It's not making any bit of a difference...

Have you tried setting MuseScore to "Run as administrator"?
Is your laptop by any chance a Toshiba?

I guess I don't understand. It looks like you are trying to use the Windows "search" feature to find the executable, whereas you could simply *type* the name of the executable into the box. Did you or did you not successfully find the executable? If not, stop searching, and just type "C:\Program Files (x86)\MuseScore2\bin\MuseScore.exe" (assuming it's a 64-bit system), then add the "-F".

Yes. My laptop is a Toshiba. I followed the step-by-step process and found the executable. I typed in " -F" but to no avail. By the way, what happens when I run the program as an administrator?

There are 2 more users having this problem also with a Toshiba laptop, see https://musescore.org/en/node/60711#comment-280716 and https://musescore.org/en/node/60711#comment-280981. In both cases it seems MuseScore 2.0(.0) works, only 2.0.1 fails, so maybe this might be a workaround for you?
You'd find it at http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/musescore/releases/MuseScore-2.0/

So I looked through the comments posted by these users. Apparently there is something wrong with this update. I've tried everything that they have been suggested with no difference. The program still won't run. How do I go back to 2.0.0?

By grabbing it from the location I mentioned

I downloaded it. But It won't let me install it because it says I still have the latest version of Musescore. What particular files do I need to delete to successfully install Musescore 2.0.0?

Uninstall it first
