Mute Individual Voices
The Mixer that Musescore uses is great! But it can only affect the volume of individual instruments. A lot of the time when writing SATB music or any music with divisi, we put two melodies on one line. It would be nice to be able to mute/unmute them individually (via checkboxes in the mixer, maybe) or even to control each voices' volume.
I often start with piano reductions with ALL FOUR voices on one instrument. That's when I really need it, because I can get so much more work done only having to read from two staves. And not having to transpose anything from clef to clef.
I apologize if this is already possible but I couldn't find it in the handbook.

I agree it would be very useful, along with a whole host of related things (separate part extraction from multiple voices, a command to split voices into staves, etc.). However, you can use the Selection Filter to select specific voices, then click "Notes" at the bottom of the Inspector and then uncheck "Play."

Great, thanks. Although, that IS a workaround that I hope I won't have to get used to!

You're welcome. I'm just sorry there isn't an easier way!
I would like to renew this request for the official release of Musescore 3. I agree. It would be great to be able to experiment with the presence and absence of voices in the score by easily muting and unmuting them, perhaps, as was suggested, in the mixer.

I made it an official request in #278836: Allow for muting voices in mixer as per your suggestion. I've seen a lot of requests for this.
